MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH UPDATE
Not to gloat, but I feel oddly refreshed on this Monday. Why? It’s definitely not because I accomplished anything special this weekend—or that my kids suddenly celebrated my existence or my uncanny ability to rehabilitate leftovers in the microwave.
I think I’m calm today because I slept in both mornings, puttered around in PJs till noon, and didn’t do anything productive for two full days. It was a treat—and further evidence that rest is essential for sanity. I’ll take it.
The icing on the cake? My dear friend and medical partner, Dr. Clay Ackerly, recently wrote a COVID-19 update for his patients that he agreed to share with my readers too. For me, one of the best parts of medicine is collaborating with other doctors. I always learn something from Clay and welcome his perspective. I hope you enjoy!
