Savor the Simple
WEEKEND UPDATE
Perched outside on this lovely spring day with feet up, head clear, and lemonade in hand, I can’t help but think: how can I put my patients and readers to work for ME?! This whole patient-doctor THING is (by definition) a two-way street—plus I always love hearing from you!
So here’s your weekend homework: Tell me what you want to hear more (or less) about in my daily updates.
What’s on your mind? What keeps you up at night? What burning COVID questions have you not heard enough about?
Grandkids and whether to hug them? The coronavirus vaccine and how it might work? A users’ guide to reading the news without breaking into a cold sweat? More mental health/parenting/dating advice? Whether or not to get out of bed in the morning? More dumb jokes about my family, myself, and my life? I’m all ears.
Meanwhile, FUN FACT: My colleague and friend Dr. Clay Ackerly and I enjoyed riffing on COVID-19 so much (plus we’ve received such great feedback from you!) that we’re planning a regular COVID LIVE “Q & A” gig together. Here’s our video—bloopers and all—in case you missed it.
And last but not least, I’m grateful to my adorable nieces Louise (7) and Claire (6) whose giggles and glee make me weak in the knees. Their quarantine creativity—and unbridled joy over spotting a live fox—gave rise to their joint painting, pictured here. I hope that you, too, get to enjoy simple pleasures this weekend.
