Let's not forget, simple hygiene. Wash your hands frequently and use antiseptic gels, especially in public spaces, airplanes, terminals, restrooms, and ATMs. While viruses are usually airborne, there are many bacterial infections transmitted by contact.

If you'll be traveling across multiple time zones, enough to suffer from jet lag, check out the Timeshifter app. It worked wonders for me on my last long journey.

Great tips! I have found that the fitness center at hotels have those filtered water tanks (water purifiers) in their fitness centers, so I refill my reusable water bottle. for free.

Thank you for these wonderful tips for staying calm, less stressed and thus more well and happy while traveling during the holidays (or any time!) I have a pretty good habit of drinking water at regular intervals from my 16 oz thermos. Don’t think I can get it through TSA filled w/ my purified water, but perhaps empty in my carry-on and fill it with water provided by a flight attendant. I love your tip about spritzing my face with rose water.πŸ’¦ It makes sense that it lowers cortisol, which is always a good idea. Thanks, Dr LucyπŸ’œ
