Know these all too well from my Mom and my Dad...and at one point, in an emergency, on the phone far away with my sis and my mother's Doctor having a tough conversation and we didn't agree. I find the POA not exactly fits what I think Dr Tanno instructs here which is much more useful. Thank you.
As someone who just went through this process with my Dad in the last few weeks of his life. Dr Tanno approaches this message with such clarity and perspective. Thank You
An amazing statement of end of life medical decisions in the context of an individual’s life values. This issue has weighed on me even more in the short time that I have been in my current nursing position, seeing so much w/my elderly patients and their families. Plus, with my own aging process.
I want to tell you, again, how I admire you for broaching many of the hard to discuss subjects on your podcasts and putting it and yourself out there regarding it all. Writing with such intention takes a great deal of brain power and heart❤️!
It takes a lot of time to write such poignant and thoughtful pieces. It requires all of us to get engaged in the dialogues. Thank you for your zoom opportunities too!
