The 4 "I"s are genius!!. The 4th I...Insight or self awareness is critical and rarely considered. If all providers could do this it would revolutionize health care in this country. THANK YOU for this great visual
Good visual with the quadrant of I's.....Information / Input / Infrastructure / Insight. Very helpful in seeing how different aspects of one's overall health relate to one another. Also, a good way to organize one's thoughts and approach to being proactive in managing one's health. Thank you, Dr. McBride.
Hi, Dr. McBride.....my husband and I were patients of Dr. Oscar Mann at Foxhall Internists, and then many years with Dr. Linda Yau. We were always impressed with the advice and service from both. However, we have moved recently to a "concierge" practice, closer to our home in Va. versus driving 20+ miles (often with traffic) into the District. I'm still on the Foxhall mailing list, which is nice. And I look forward now to your newsletters and podcasts. Thank you for being pro-active in educating people on health matters. I'm sure it's a lot of work in addition to your practice responsibilities, but you are reaching more people in positive ways.
I liked how clear and easily accessible the information was. My adult daughter has struggled with gut issues for over two years. She had what was diagnosed as SIBO, treated with antibiotics, yet still has bloating, has, and periodic extreme fatigue. I am forwarding your talk to her. We are thinking of seeking an insult at Hopkins, but maybe your guidance will open some doors. Thank uou so much.
Hello, I'm new here but can relate. I suffered for 2 months without resolution, following my pcp's advice. In the meantime I started reading and eventually found a Functional Medicine doctor. With the help of lab tests, short- term medication, supplements, and a low FODMAP diet I was MUCH improved. The last step was listening to a podcast by a therapist who carefully described how mental health affects our gut AND how to correct it. The next day my remaining symptoms disappeared. I suffered for 18 months and have been well for 2 years. Best wishes, J.
Thanks for the opportunity to speak. Sorry I was unable to unmute on my first opportunity to speak on ZOOM. Certainly enjoyed the conversation.
Thank you for joining!

If we had had universal health care prior to the pandemic would we of had a better out come
COVID definitely laid bare the problems with our healthcare system.
