Loved your cgm discussion and now I want one! Dx prediabetes a year ago. (HgbA1c= 6.1) Changed my diet since those 2 years of Mediterranean (hello grains, potatoes, and beans) did me no good. Last A1c was 5.6 and I lost 15lb from diet alone. But I'm so curious what specific foods spike my sugars and how long until they come back down. I'm 69. Mom was on insulin in her 50s.
I read suspect dementia from omeprazole -- so I only use CaCO3 -- and discovered fodmaps do stimulate GERD. AND very useful no GERD if I limit FODMAPS to am Break is usually very heavy on beans. If I've been careful only a few grammes of CaCo3 at bed time. Also found a large slice of cheese helps. Wedge pillow also helps.
