I wonder what your thoughts are regarding long covid and trying to avoid the virus for potential long term effects. Do vaccines help reduce long covid risk? Also I know that here in Canada some of the lockdowns in some provinces during later waves were to protect hospitals from being overwhelmed. Where does this play into your thoughts of harm reduction? Thanks!

Ditto!! Wish I’d been on that group text of yours! (And more importantly, that everyone in a position of decision making had been! ;)

You both voice so eloquently the holistic and humanistic perspective our society and medical systems desperately need. Keep on talking, please!!

Thank you for this interview! I’ve wondered for a very long time about the expression, “well-fitted mask.” Does that mean a fit-tested mask? Also, since it’s known that we can be infected with viruses through our eyes, why has eye protection been ignored by those still pushing for mass mask use?

The best fitted mask is one that is fit-tested (like we do for N95s in hospital settings). The next best is a KN95 or KF94 mask that has a decent seal and isn’t sagging on your face like a hammock 😉
