I started following ALL of the sleep hygiene recommended habits a couple of months ago. A pain therapist leading a pain management session finally got my attention. I now get up at the same time, 5:00 am, EVERY day, go into another room if awake more than 20 minutes, cut out devices an hour before bedtime. Except for the few nights when my IBS kept me up, after a week of practicing the new habits, sleep 7+ hours every night. Grateful 🥰
I never snored, not overweight and I don't drink alcohol. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, woke up on the average 36 times and hour. My doctors were convinced I didn't have it so, did not agree to testing. I went directly to a sleep doctor to be tested. The cardiologist discovered some damage to my heart due to apnea.
For anxiety I started CBT: Judson Brewer, Unwinding Anxiety. Read his book then completed his app numerous times. I'm now using his newer app, Mindshift. This has been a big life change for me.
I'm not good at Meditating on my own. Using an app call Waking Up. There are many apps that help with this.
No longer taking trazodone at night. Perry Mason works for me.
il sonno e' importante non solo perche' reintegra delle energie ma anche e soprattutto per il benessere psichico dlla mente , se non si dorme bene bisogna indagare sulle possibili cause e la cura e' sintomatica a base di benzodiazepine o altri sedativi blandi.

si i problemi sono risolvibili ma bisogna individuare l'origine della causa ed intervenire tempestivamente con cure efficaci e farmaci appropiati.
