Your writing on GLP-1s has been so incredibly eye opening! I noticed that โfood noiseโ quiet almost immediately, but the way you articulated it has helped me understand it in a more meaningful way.
How do I know if I can stop my depression medication. In my case, two of them. One in the morning and one in the evening. I no longer feel depressed, but is that the med working? How can I tell?
Great question - and one that would require careful attention from the prescribing doctor and your therapist (if you have one). Itโs wonderful you no longer feel depressed. People are most successful tapering off meds when they have close monitoring for recurrent symptoms and, most importantly, when they have a broad array of non pharmacological coping tools to help manage mental health issues (e.g., an exercise routine, sleep routine, healthy eating habits, a good relationship with food/alcohol/other people etc). Thanks for asking, and good luck!
