Dr McBride’s answer is correct and standard of care, but my advice is don’t wait six months-ask for a biopsy of that lung nodule now and see a specialist. My husband is alive because he was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer 7 years ago and prognosis is excellent. He did not wait to get a biopsy.
