This is a thorough and informative article - thank you! Question: I’ve been using the vaginal estrogen for years and have never found it covered by Medicare. My 45 gram compound is about $60. Where do I get a tube for $13 that lasts 2-3 months?

Dr. McBride, thank you so much for writing and sharing all of these great articles week after week, year after year. It truly is a gift to all of us and to our physicians. I am a much better patient because of what I learn from you - I ask better questions, enter the conversation with reliable background info, and am also better at assuming my doctor WANTS to know what's on my mind and is eager to help (because you are!) You started something great and have served me and many others well for so many years. I have passed along your conversations to others and always look forward to learning from you. In addition to dealing with physiology and medications, you have such a compassionate way of talking about mental health. I appreciate how you always offer hope along with facts and research. Truly grateful for you! Jane

I didn't hear Dr Ruben say how often to use the estrogen cream. Over the years I've been instructed to use anywhere from .5gm to 1 gm and 1-2x per week to daily. I see the pkg insert rec is .5 gm for 21 days then off for 7 days. Does that 21/7 pattern repeat forever? I'm 69 and don't have UTI problems.

Thanks for this! Great talk!

Dr. . . . . did you look up Dr. Yeadon & Dr. Colman . . .

The medical establishment has destroyed any trust that anyone may have had for them.
