Thank you for reframing the issue (again) from a binary choice to a spectrum, and then to an action plan. Hoping that medical schools are teaching this nuanced approach!

I draw the line when the anxiety/depression interrupts sleep and I find myself uninterested in caring for my garden and it is difficult to meditate.

For many years I've been prescribed Wellbutrin when I need it, often for just 6 months or so. It eases the knot in my gut and I feel grounded and balanced when prayer and meditation are practiced, as well.

Thanks for asking!

Such great points. Mental health is so much more nuanced than many realize. Understanding the 'understandable' and relatable aspects of our emotional experiences is a good start to healing and could be a remedy in itself.

Dr McBride,

This is helpful as I navigate my grief from losing my husband of 42 years 13 months ago. While the 1st year was filled with emotions i believed were part of the 1st year grief, I was hesitant to acknowledge my grief here in year 2. Normal, more than it should be, debilitating, something to give me pause as mire serious. Always find your online sessions helpful.

Thank you.

I have a friend who was widowed 8-10 years ago and she took several years to work through all of her grief emotions. 🥰
