Wow, I so much identify with getting worn down from working to much - all on really good and important things, of course. Taking down time is so important to rest and recalibrate, and to get a step away from the regular pace of things to take a look at what's not working for me in work. I'm just starting to come out of an almost 2-week break I took now over the Passover holiday - I even scheduled all my Substack posts ahead of time!

I concur with this. And I too have been guilty of working too much in my life. I did 2 years of about 100 hour weeks, and it was probably not very good for my health. And without health, nothing else really has a lot of value. What is the point of a fancy house if you cant walk? Another related topic that I recently have started to incorporate into my life, is to celebrate the wins. We are often very demanding and hard on ourselves, but we often don't celebrate when things go well. We just keep churning. I have started to celebrate more, and it gives me peace. Btw, a celebration can be a small thing such as going for a walk and thinking about how well the last business deal went. Cheers!
