I call acceptance the "A" word and it's a doozy but SO important. I tell myself and my clients to take it one second at a time and just to try. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. The empty seats are such a challenge and gratitude isn't a given so easily but trying for that too in itself is something and having people like you that share their thoughts and expertise are absolutely on my list of the positives to keep in mind. :)
I also agree with the comment about your message being so beautifully and thoughtfully written!!! It comes at such a timely moment for me as I have travelled to CA this week to be with a dear family member as she starts her chemotherapy journey. She has vowed to take each infusion a day at a time. She loves to journal, a believer in meditation, a lover of nature and spirituality and has a beautiful soul.
Exquisitely thought, considered, contemplated and directed toward real intention. this is a way foe us all to live more fully mentally healthier. Just do it!!!!!!!!!!!With appreciation for all your wisdom and sharing.
Thank you for this thoughtful newsletter as so many face the stress of the season and get overwhelmed. I'm so sorry for your loss, and hope you have a nurturing Thanksgiving!
In the front of my calendar, I have a phrase that helps. I donβt remember where it came from, but it helps me every day, as I breathe and meditate.
βRight now, itβs like this.β

Thank you, Lucy.
At this time of year, I reflect on the Serenity Prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Iβd be lost without your guidance
Have a lovely Thanksgiving
